4 teams, 13 players and 5officials of each

Women's Water Polo Tournament

4 teams, 13 players and 5 officials of each

Total: 104 players and 40 officials

Competition Rule

Rules of the Fédération Internationale de Natation (FINA) Handbook (2005-2009)

Competition Format

The competition will be operated according to FINA Water Polo Rules. The two events will take single round robin to rank the places. According to WP11.3, an extra-time should be conducted for the game finished in the normal time with level scores. If at the end of the two periods of extra time the score is still equal, there shall be a penalty shoot out to determine the result.

In case there were two teams having same points at the end of the competition, the team winning the game between the two teams shall be placed higher. In case there were three teams having same points, the place of the teams will be based upon goal difference.

Medals & Diplomas

The medals and diplomas will be awarded to the top three (3) men and women teams of the tournament respectively. All participating teams will receive certificates of participation.

Equipment

The goal and waterline are products of Jiangsu Jinling Sports Equipment Co., Ltd.

The ball will be MIKASA.
